Speculators edged US Dollar Index bullish bets higher. Euro & GBP bets jump

Large currency speculators added to their bullish net positions in the US Dollar Index futures markets this week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on Friday.

Overall, the major currencies that saw improving speculator positions this week were the US dollar index (795 weekly change in contracts), euro (13,482 contracts), British pound sterling (15,022 contracts), Swiss franc (4,277 contracts), Canadian dollar (6,485 contracts), Australian dollar (6,700 contracts), New Zealand dollar (1,127 contracts) and the Mexican peso (8,322 contracts).

The only currency whose speculative bets declined this week was the Japanese yen  with a -19,182 weekly change in contracts.

WTI Crude Oil Speculator Positions

The large speculator contracts of WTI crude futures totaled a net position of 530,312 contracts, according to the latest data this week. This was a change of -36,960 contracts from the previous weekly total.

 


10-Year Bonds Speculator Positions

Large speculator contracts of the 10-Year Bond futures totaled a net position of -223,573 contracts, according to the latest data this week. This was a change of -44,343 contracts from the previous weekly total.

 


Gold Speculator Positions

Large precious metals speculator contracts of the Gold futures totaled a net position of 319,235 contracts, according to the latest data this week. This was a change of -3,056 contracts from the previous weekly total.

 


Sugar Speculator Positions

Soft commodity speculator contracts of Sugar futures totaled a net position of 98,296 contracts, according to the latest CFTC data. This was a change of 59,504 contracts from the previous weekly total.

 


SP 500 Mini Speculator Positions

Large stock market speculator contracts of the S&P500 mini futures totaled a net position of 33,018 contracts, according to the latest data this week. This was a change of -7,803 contracts from the previous weekly total.

 


VIX Volatility Speculator Positions

Large stock market volatility speculator contracts of the VIX futures totaled a net position of -167,594 contracts, according to the latest data this week. This was a change of -22,697 contracts from the previous weekly total.

 


Silver Speculator Positions

Large precious metals speculator contracts of the silver futures totaled a net position of 67,373 contracts, according to the latest data this week. This was a change of 120 contracts from the previous weekly total.

 


Copper Speculator Positions

Metals speculator contracts of the copper futures totaled a net position of 3,467 contracts, according to the latest data this week. This was a change of 6,607 contracts from the previous weekly total.

The Commitment of Traders report data is published in raw form every Friday by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and shows the futures positions of market participants as of the previous Tuesday (data is reported 3 days behind).

As claimed by Stanford Medical, It's in fact the SINGLE reason women in this country get to live 10 years more and weigh 42 lbs less than we do.

(By the way, it has NOTHING to do with genetics or some secret exercise and EVERYTHING related to "HOW" they are eating.)
